Smart Steel was founded in 2006 by a team of structural engineers and fabricators who believed that quality steelwork didn't have to come with long lead times and poor communication. We set out to build a company that contractors could rely on — one that delivered to spec, on time, every time.

Over two decades we've grown from a single workshop in Germiston to a full-service fabrication and erection company operating across Gauteng and beyond. Our client base spans commercial developers, industrial contractors, mining companies, and government infrastructure projects.
